What you get
BoatSurveyReader reads the marine survey you upload and produces a report: findings sorted into fix, negotiate, watch or ignore, the survey page and wording for each, estimated repair-cost ranges, items insurers commonly ask about, a draft letter to the seller and questions for your surveyor. The free preview shows only the number of findings and their severity. The full report costs $29, once, for one survey.
What the report is not
- This is not legal, insurance, financial or mechanical advice.
- It isn't a survey or inspection. We only read the document your surveyor wrote; we never see the boat.
- Cost ranges are estimates, not quotes. Cost ranges are rough estimates to help you frame a conversation with a yard, not quotes. Each one lists its assumptions. Real prices depend on the boat, the yard, access and what's found once work starts.
- We never say what an insurer will require or cover. Ask your insurer or agent.
- The report is written by AI and checked by software. It can still misread or miss something. Confirm with your surveyor or a qualified yard before you act on anything here.
Your responsibilities
- Upload only surveys you have the right to share with us, such as one you commissioned or one the owner gave you.
- Don't try to break, overload or misuse the service, or upload anything other than a marine survey.
- Decisions about buying, repairing, insuring or negotiating are yours. Make them with your surveyor, a qualified yard and, where needed, a broker or attorney.
